0627 Creative Cooking 1 semester Grades 9, 10, 11, 12 ½ credit


If you have a “sweet tooth,” this is the course for you! Learn about the scientific principles of baking so you can create prize-winning cookies, cakes and frostings, pies and fillings, quick breads and yeast breads, and desserts. You’ll also learn about basic cake-decorating techniques and then create a culinary masterpiece for any occasion from a design of your own choice. Through instructional activities and authentic lab experiences you will develop your

baking skills for both personal enjoyment as well as for potential career opportunities. Prerequisite: Eating for the Health of It. Fee: $30.00.
