1201 American Government/Economics 1 year Grades 11, 12 1 credit
Students will study governmental processes especially at the national level, with emphasis on the practical aspects of government such as voting, political parties/ideologies and elections. Students will spend a quarter focusing on the importance of the economy and personal finance including credit/loans, planning for college and the stock market and investing. Students will learn the skills
necessary for the individual to function as a productive citizen. Students may be required to purchase additional reading material. Required for graduation.
