This grant is sponsored by a CHS graduate and give 1 student an opportunity to travel abroad in the summer after graduation. This is is all expense paid trip. Students will have  presentation on this grant in December.

Auxiliary of UH Portage Medical Center Scholarship Fund (NURSING SCHOLARSHIP)
Due: April 15th, 2026
Award: 2 $1,000 scholarships for seniors to go into the nursing field. 
Criteria: Two letters of recommendation, essay, school information form. 

Sisterhood of St. Joseph Church Scholarship Program

The Shelly Company Scholarship 
Due: March 1, 2026
Award: $500
Criteria: Must be a graduating high school senior, Must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must attend a high school supported by The Shelly Company Community Scholarship. (Crestwood is on the list!). Special consideration will be given to students with experience in leadership roles, volunteer service and community involvement.

Bernie J. Kosar Crestwood Endowed Scholarship

Due: March 1st, 2026
Award:  Around $200 (there could be more than one winner)
Criteria:  Must be enrolled in a two-year or four-year degree program at an accredited college, university or technical school and complete an essay.

Frances A. Patterson Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Due:  March 1, 2026
Award:   Around $200 (there could be more than one winner)
Criteria: Must be a Portage County High School senior, have been an active member of an Ohio 4-H Horse Program, have been accepted with full intent to attend an accredited college or university.  Provide 2 letters of recommendation, one from a current or former teacher and one from a member of an Ohio 4-H Horse Program community member (non-relative).

Boyd & Joan Wallbrown Agricultural Innovation Scholarship
Due: March 1, 2026
Award: $1000
Criteria: The applicant must have plans to pursue a higher education degree with the following focus(es): agricultural production, research/development in agriculture production, crop production, livestock/farm animals (including veterinarian medicine), agriculture engineering, emphasis on innovation and agriculture production advances.

Bill & Eddye White Bowling Endowed Scholarship

Award: $500
Criteria: Must be on the bowling team and have a minimum 2.5 GPA

Phyllis Battaglia/CAC Memorial Scholarship

Criteria: Must be a graduating high school senior, minimum of 3.0 GPA.  Essay required

Casper Wenninger Scholarship for Veterinary Studies
Due: March 1, 2026
Award: $2500
Criteria: Must be a graduating high school senior, attend a college/university/tech school in Portage County or currently work in animal care industry in Portage County and enrolled or planning to register with an American Veterinary Medical Association accredited program for Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary Technology during the next academic calendar year.

Portage County Master Gardeners Scholarship

Award:  $1000
Criteria:  Must be pursuing a Plant Science degree such as Botany, Forestry, Landscaping, Environment, Conservation or Agriculture 

Norman G Lincoln Scholarship
Due:  April 1, 2026
Award:  $1000
Criteria:  Minimum GPA of 3.0, enrolled in an accredited trade school or college, Need to submit FAFSA report

Portage County Retired Teachers Association
Due: Friday April 10th, 2026
Criteria: Must intend to become a teacher, resume and essay submission

Women for Greater Akron Charities
Due: March 31, 2026
Award: $2000
Criteria: Female high school student that is enrolled in a school in Summit, Medina, Portage, or Stark Counties, plan to attend an Ohio College or University on the Fall, minimum 3.0 GPA, community service, demonstrate financial need.  

Crestwood Education Association (CEA) Scholarship

Award: $1000
Criteria: Must plan to attend a post-secondary program, complete the essay and 2 recommendations. 

Crestwood Improvement Scholarship  
Due: May 15th, 2026 at 8:00 am 
Award:  $500
Criteria:  2.5 GPA  Essay required.

Grand Lodge of Ohio Free & Accepted Masons

Award: Three $1,500 scholarships are available for graduating seniors in Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Portage and Trumbull counties. Students do not need to be related to a Mason to be eligible for consideration.

Ian Minnick Memorial (Music and the Arts) Scholarship

Criteria: Must demonstrate a capacity to lead and serve, as well as a commitment to making a significant impact on their school and community, plan to attend an accredited post-secondary institution, and have a minimum overall 3.0 GPA

 

Equitable Excellence Scholarship

Ohio Oil & Gas Energy Education Foundation Scholarship

Criteria: have a career goal in crude oil and natural gas or related energy field, must plan to attend an Ohio college, university, technical or trade school, have a min 2.5 GPA.

Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
Due: Opens January 1st, deadline is March 1st, 2026
Award: Varies
Criteria: All applicants must be the child of a Marine or a Navy Corpsman, Chaplain or Religious Programs specialist attached to a Marine unit, have a cumulative GPA of 2.00, and have an adjusted gross income at or below the financial eligibility threshold determined by the Foundation on an annual basis. This scholarship is financial need based. If your family’s 2023 income is over $123,000, you’ll need to provide documentation and a thorough explanation demonstrating your family’s extreme extenuating financial circumstances.

The Ohio PTA Memorial Scholarship

Award: $500.00
Criteria: There are three different scholarships. One for students attending a 4 year college, one for a trade/technical school, and one for a special education student.

The Ohio Association of Public School Employees Scholarship
Due:  March 1, 2026
Award: $2500.00
Criteria: parent or legal guardian is a member in good standing of the Association and students must plan to attend a 2/4 year school full time

Cleveland Browns Marion Motley Scholarship 
Due: March 6, 2026
Award: $2500.00 per year
Criteria: 2.5 GPA, Min of 18 on ACT, Demonstrate financial need, major in areas that lead to a career in education or working for a professional sports organization (business, accounting, finance, human resources, sports management, marketing, communications, etc.)

Berkshire Hathaway Homeservices Stouffer Reality
Due: March 2, 2026
Award: $1000.00 renewable for 4 years
Criteria: Must reside in one of the listed counties, 3.0 GPA, complete paperwork and demonstrate leadership, volunteerism and overall positive attitude toward life.

Award: $1000.00
Criteria: Resident of Northeast Ohio, or accepted/enrolled in, a college, university or other accredited institution in Northeast Ohio,  majoring in accounting, Enrolled full time or part-time (minimum 6 credit hours),  Minimum 2.75 grade-point average on a 4.0 grade scale

Horatio Alger National Career & Technical Scholarship Program

Award: up to $2500.00
Criteria: must be a current high school junior, exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a career or technical program at a non profit community college, financial need, community service, display integrity and perseverance.

Hagan Scholarship 
Due: December 1st, 2025
Award: Up to $7500 per semester
Criteria: Min unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher, attend a 4 year college or university, and work 240 hours from Jan 1-Sept 1, 2025. Click here for the application. 

Automotive Scholarship Central
Due: March 31, 2026
Award: not listed
Criteria: Full time students at an accredited U.S. college or university or an ASE/NATEF Certified post-secondary automotive, heavy duty, or collision repair school or Graduating high school seniors planning to be full time students at any of the above, No GPA requirement.

Fields of Learning Scholarship
Due: March 31, 2026
Award: $1000.00 (5 of them)
Criteria: write an essay “Something I learned from high school football.” You do not need to have played football. Females can also apply.

Junior Achievement Employment-Readiness Grant

Ohio Agricultural Council

Award: $1500.00 (6 scholarships)
Criteria: must be pursuing an agricultural-related studies and to help promote agriculture and agri-business as a growing field of career opportunities. Winners are selected based on academic record, leadership qualities, community involvement and responses to application essay questions.

Ohio Gas Association Scholarship Foundation
Due: April 1, 2026
Award: $1000 renewable for 3 additional years
Criteria: Must be majoring in one of the fields listed, 3.0 GPA and have plans to attend an Ohio School.   

National Wood Flooring Wood Studies Scholarship
Due:  April 1, 2026
Award: $1000.00
Criteria: min 3.0 GPA, ACT score of 25 or higher or SAT score of 1800 or higher, attend college in the Fall and major in the field of forestry, environmental science, or natural resources.

Jewish Family Service Association of Cleveland Scholarship**(Not yet available for 2026. Check back soon!)

Award: Varies, there are a number of different scholarships available
Criteria: You must identify as predominantly Jewish. Applicants should have at least one Jewish birth parent or have completed Jewish conversion through a recognized Jewish denomination, demonstrate financial need, minimum 2.5 GPA, plan to attend post-secondary education full-time.

Ian Minnick Memorial Scholarship

Criteria: Applicant may attend an accredited technical school, dance or art academy or a two or four-year college or university in a part or full-time capacity, must be pursuing continuing education in music, digital media production, fashion, voice, dance, theater, filmography, photography, fashion design or other art form,  must have a history of participating in at least one of the following: band, choir, extra-curricular creative or fine arts programs or classes in school or in the community
